Project Risk Management is a two step process viz.
Risk Assessment and Risk Control. Risk Assessment can take place at any stage
of the project. But it will be better if the risk assessment is done as soon as
possible during the life cycle of the project. The Risk Control on the other
hand need to be carried out only after the Risk Assessment is complete.
Further, for a successful risk management both the risk assessment and risk
control exercises need to be controlled. It is not enough if only risks are
assessed without taking any action
